Croatia: "Dijelimo ambiciju Mađarskog predsjedništva!"
Andrej Plenković expresses confidence that Croatia can conclude its EU accession negotiations during the Hungarian Presidency. He shares the ambition to meet all benchmarks and close the remaining chapters. Plenković believes the majority of Croatians support EU membership and that an information campaign will ensure a positive referendum outcome. He dismisses concerns about Romania insisting on a cooperation and verification mechanism (CVM), stating it's unnecessary given Croatia's progress and the new accession methodology. Plenković highlights significant progress in the judiciary and fundamental rights chapter, a key area of negotiation, and anticipates an objective outlook from the European Commission's interim report.
